I created 3D art for BeeQuest, an asymmetric AR and VR game created in 3 months for Niantic as part of their Labs program. We were required to use Niantic's 8th Wall platform. All assets are lightweight glTF because 8th Wall launches apps via web and runs AR on mobile and VR on headsets. The game designer and devs are super talented and created a completely different experience on mobile AR compared to VR. On mobile the player collects resources in their environment based on real location data. In VR mode the player manages their resources and protects their hive from wasp attacks. I created a majority of the 3D art for the game, and went outside my usual model/texture/optimize comfort zone to chip in some game design suggestions, concept art, rigging, animation, and UI.
